Hi everyone!

This is a throwback post as I went to this cafe sometime during December of 2014. I think having some foreign food reviews, as well as a travel diaries series would be good as well.

With that said, this cafe is situated in Taipei, in Da'an District. I love cafe hopping because it really gives you a chance to try out many desserts and sample the little tea sets in these tiny shops. Within the area, there are many shops, such as ABC Mart, Toms Official Store, tiny phone shops, Disney shops selling goods imported from Hong Kong and Japan, and more. Of course, there are also more dessert shops, and I vividly remember one shop with green tea themed desserts. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this cafe, the ambience was very cosy and friendly, the seats were comfortable and the amount of space at each table was enough to lay down and take a nap. I highly recommend this cafe if you're into waffles and ice cream!

Review:

Due to me being sick on this trip, I opted to have the orange fruit tea, served hot. It was quite a nice feeling, drinking that hot fruity tea. It wasn't too sour either, but it did have that sour kick that was just right for me. Little orange bits were floating around the tea, so it wasn't only pure liquid.

Next up, is the fruit waffle platter with vanilla ice cream, drizzled in caramel (I think) sauce! My parents shared this plate and they said it was quite healthy, considering it was just plain waffles with fruits and vanilla ice cream. According to them, the waffles were piping hot, and placing the ice cream on the warm waffles really enhances the flavour and makes it tastier overall!

Last but not least, here is the chocolate banana waffle with vanilla ice cream, which got everyone drooling at first glance. It really is a beauty though - a round waffle, with a mountain of banana slices and a scoop of ice cream to finish it off, drizzled with loads of chocolate sauce, nuts and pom poms of whipped cream. Yum, perfect for chocolate lovers I must say! My brother gobbled it all within a matter of minutes, and declared it as one of the best waffles he had tasted in his entire life.
